As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will lead technical development activities, solve complex engineering challenges, and contribute to innovative products and solutions that support the energy transition. How you'll make an impact: Lead technical work packages and key development activities within global R&D projects Propose innovative concepts and perform advanced simulations in electromagnetic design and optimization of distribution, BESS and medium frequency transformers Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products by interacting with engineering and manufacturing departments globally. Contribute to technology roadmaps, innovation initiatives, and continuous product improvement. Collaborate in global team settings, sharing your technical expertise to support colleagues in achieving timely and high-quality results. Lead intellectual property and risk management activities in R&D Provide technical support to factories, customers and sales teams. Your Background: MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field Several years of experience in transformer design and product development within an industrial business environment Strong technical background in transformer design, insulation systems (air, solid, liquid), thermal performance and cooling, FEM simulation, and testing. Proven ability to lead technical activities and deliver results in cross-functional and international environments. Experience with design of Medium Frequency Transformers is a plus Experience with transformer transient analysis, modelling and simulation is a plus Strong analytical, communication (in English), and problem-solving skills.
