About the company
Our client is a healthcare services company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Drive new business and account growth in a regional market, handling every stage from first contact to signed agreement and a clean transition to the post-sale team. The work involves juggling a large set of accounts, adapting your message to different decision makers, and feeding market observations back to colleagues as the sales approach matures.
What you'll do
- Handle each deal end to end, from initial prospecting through demo and close, in short cycles that usually need only a couple of conversations.
- Look after a large portfolio of about 150 accounts and develop working relationships with contacts at different levels of seniority.
- Adjust your message to suit each account and the particular person you are speaking with.
- Divide your day between external outreach and meetings in the morning and CRM upkeep, follow-up and planning in the afternoon.
- Meet contacts face to face where practical, with travel of up to 25 to 30% for local meetings and events.
- Work alongside growth and customer success colleagues on transitions and renewals.
- Relay what you learn in the field to product, marketing and leadership while the sales approach is still taking shape.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 2 to 4 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, with steady results at or above 100% of target as a full-cycle seller.
- A track record of generating your own opportunities through daily outbound activity and phone prospecting.
- Experience closing deals within roughly two months.
- Background at a startup or smaller company, not only large corporate settings.
- Confidence managing deals with several decision makers and aligning them on a decision.
- Disciplined use of a CRM such as Salesforce to keep your pipeline in order.
- An empathetic, relationship-first selling style.
- A sincere personal connection to the mission, beyond a general interest in making an impact.
- Residence in New York City and availability in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for in-person meetings.
Bonus points
- Prior experience selling to education-sector buyers.
- Degree from a highly ranked university.
