Job Description Summary ‎ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our healthcare team in North Port, Florida. This position provides both clinical and administrative support to providers while helping deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced medical setting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has strong communication skills, can effectively assist with clinical procedures, and thrives in a patient-focused environment. Location: 13815 Tamiami Trail, North Port, FL 34287 Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM ‎ How will you make an impact & Requirements ‎ Responsibilities Perform patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, medical histories, medications, and allergy information Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist providers during exams, treatments, and minor procedures Perform EKGs, immunizations, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing Prepare, label, and process laboratory specimens accurately Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and chronic disease management Accurately document patient information and provider instructions in the electronic health record (EHR) Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up care Support patient triage and care coordination efforts Maintain infection control standards and proper equipment maintenance Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, providers, and team members Qualifications Required Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (CMA/RMA) Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience Experience assisting providers with clinical procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience with Athenahealth (Athena) EHR Experience working in any medical specialty (Primary Care experience not required) Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Why Join Us?
