This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to get the job done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll be trusted to operate grading plant professionally, support the wider site crew, and keep work moving to plan. It’s a role for someone who takes pride in doing solid work, and backs their team. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Operate the grader safely and efficiently to support road construction and maintenance works. Complete pre-starts, plant checks, and basic maintenance before machinery is operated. Follow the work programme and site instructions from your supervisor or foreperson to keep delivery on track. Take safety seriously by speaking up, using stay safe questions, and reporting incidents, near misses, and hazards. Look for smarter, safer ways of working and contribute to a team culture built on respect, reliability, and good work. Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with A current Class 4 driver licence essential. W, T, R endorsements essential. Proven construction grading experience, ideally building new roads. Traffic controller certification or experience desirable but not essential. A strong focus on safety, quality, and doing the job right the first time. A reliable, practical, team-focused approach with a willingness to learn and get stuck in.
