Working within a highly regulated industry to deliver a critical resource to ensure we can maintain homes and businesses with safe running water.   Essential to us meeting and exceeding these targets to deliver consistent customer satisfaction are our Groundwater Engineering Unit who are looking for a Groundwater Technician to join the team based in Old Buckenham (near Attleborough), Norfolk.   What will you be doing?  Working across the whole Anglian Water region, including Hartlepool, you’ll help ensure full operability of groundwater assets to maintain the upstream security of supply and contribute to the delivery of measured targets. You’ll be part of a team that manages our borehole and pump assets that successfully supply 50% of raw water to meet the demand of 4 million customers.  Reporting to the Groundwater Engineering Unit Manager, you’ll undertake a variety of maintenance work on our groundwater assets and provide support on a variety of day-to-day operations including borehole pump replacements/maintenance, and groundwater asset surveys and inspections.  Key responsibilities include:  Carry out pump installations at critical and non critical sites ensuring stocks are always maintained.  Support the borehole maintenance programme.  Support the delivery of the CCTV inspection programme.  Participate in the delivery of the headworks inspection and maintenance programmes.  Adherence to hygiene standards and Health & Safety policies and procedures when completing work (eg lifting operations). What do you need?  As our next Groundwater Technician, you will develop specialist skills gained with on site experience and technical training. Training will be provided for any aspects not covered by previous work experience. A fully trained technician would have the following training/skills. Previous experience of the below would be beneficial, though not essential.
