Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time. As Netflix continues our global expansion, we look for the best and brightest talent to play a key role in our growth. That’s where you come in! We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst with multi-jurisdictional expertise on tax advisory for our LATAM operations (excluding Brazil), based out of our Mexico City office. This role demands a versatile tax professional who can navigate diverse regulatory frameworks across LATAM, an ever-evolving business, and the fast-paced world of production taxes and incentives. You will combine hands-on tax advisory support with the day-to-day operations related to Production Incentives, serving as a key liaison between internal teams, external business partners, external advisors, tax authorities and film commissions across the region. You will report to the Sr. Tax Manager, LATAM in Mexico City and will work closely with cross-functional partners across Finance, Legal, and tax teams all around the world. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and in a fast paced environment, moves comfortably between jurisdictions, and brings the flexibility to shift priorities as regulatory and business landscapes change. Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will be providing regional tax advisory and production tax/incentives support. Your day-to-day activities will include: Stay current on legislative and regulatory changes across all covered jurisdictions; proactively assess their impact and advise tax leadership and stakeholders accordingly. Provide tax advisory support on cross-border transactions, double taxation treaty application, business expansions, VAT refunds, production related tax questions and other regional tax matters. Own the application, compliance, monetization, and reporting processes to claim Production Incentives in the region, including quarter-end close reporting. Provide advisory support on the LATAM Production Incentives to local, cross-regional and cross-functional teams. Support the Sr. Manager in building and maintaining relationships with tax authorities and film commissions related to Production Tax and Incentives matters. This includes working very closely with our government relations teams and supporting public policy efforts related to Production Incentives. Coordinate and drive tax audits across the region— tax authority and/or any government inquiries—owning the end-to-end audit lifecycle from initial response through resolution, navigating cross-functional alignment and collaboration. Support the Sr. Manager on ad-hoc projects such as creation of new legal entities, new business initiatives, tax program applications, VAT refunds and electronic invoicing/requirements changes. Support the LATAM Tax team on tax compliance, month end close, and day-to-day activities as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Law. 8+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance, with proven multi-country expertise across LATAM (Mexico required; Colombia, Argentina, Perú and extraterritorial/digital service taxes strongly preferred). In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations in Mexico and LATAM countries; familiarity with country-specific platforms (e.g., SAT, DIAN, AFIP, SUNAT) is desirable. Demonstrated experience managing tax audits—statutory, tax authority, and government inquiries—from planning through resolution in at least two LATAM jurisdictions. Experience with Production Tax and Incentives is highly desirable. Highly proficient in spreadsheets and memo writing; knowledge of Workday, Blackline, Google suite and electronic invoicing systems is a plus. Highly organized with the ability to balance competing priorities and navigate multiple deadlines across jurisdictions simultaneously. Can lean into GenAI to improve the quality and speed of work. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex tax nuances to a diverse audience clearly and succinctly. Able to deeply analyze, clearly communicate (verbally and in writing) knowledge and advise in plain and clear terms. Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving approach; passionate about helping drive the business forward. High degree of flexibility and adaptability; comfortable operating across different tax regimes and cultural contexts. Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken). Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
