A typical day as a Lead Accounting Specialist on the Credit Team might include: Reviewing and analyzing customer credit applications, financial statements, and trade references, using various reporting tools. Establishing, reviewing, and adjusting customer credit limits based on financial strength, payment history, projected sales, and overall risk profile. Working with internal stakeholders to resolve payment disputes and minimize collection delays. Identifying, researching, and recommending solutions in complex or non-routine situations to supervisor as appropriate. Compiling and analyzing reports for internal and external users. This job might be for you if: You have a one-year certificate in accounting or related field. You have 5+ years experience in accounts receivable, credit management, treasury, banking, or general accounting. You have strong skills in computerized accounting systems, Excel, Word and 10-key calculator. You have exceptional organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. You are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. It is a plus if you have: An associates degree in Accounting or related field. Experience in an accounting department of a manufacturing or technical sales environment.
