Job Description: The Technologist - Ultrasound II at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for performing high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic procedures, assisting physicians and medical staff during procedures, providing excellent customer service, and effective communication with patients and staff. This role also requires staying updated with changes in Radiology, adhering to policies and guidelines, and organizing workflow to prevent delays while controlling costs through appropriate supply usage. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job Duties • Performs high quality/cost effective diagnostic procedures. • Assists Physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required. • Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner. • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, medical staff, and NMMC staff members. • Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs. • Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations. • Stay abreast of changes in Radiology. • Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines. • Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues. • Organize work flow to prevent delays and control cost through appropriate use of supplies. • All other duties as assigned.
