Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position: Extensive experience in government and public sector procurement, particularly under EU public procurement rules, ideally with consulting exposure. Proven expertise in category management and sourcing strategy, from conceptualisation through to practical application. Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and the ability to manage complex contract discussions. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including client relationship management, team mentoring, and driving business development initiatives. What type of work will I be doing? Developing and implementing category and procurement strategies tailored to government and public sector clients. Leading end-to-end procurement and contracting delivery, including supplier management and contract transition. Managing relationships with senior client executives and project sponsors, facilitating steering committee engagements. Overseeing project delivery, tracking risks, issues, budgets, and resources using tools such as MS Project and advanced Excel models. Leading and mentoring Deloitte teams, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth. Supporting business development efforts and contributing to the growth of the Supply Chain consulting practice. Collaborating with Irish and global Deloitte teams to tailor government and public sector offerings for the Irish market. Addressing complex business challenges by integrating capabilities across Technology, AI & Data, Human Capital, Strategy & Transactions, and Tax & Legal. Who is the Hiring Manager?
