Position Purpose: The primary function of a laborer to organize and maintain the warehouse to keep it safe and satisfactory, in addition to assisting the drivers on premises when needed. Key Responsibilities: Straps and places corners on each load. Bag and wrap materials depending on weather conditions. Cleaning the garbage Sweeping the warehouse Assisting drivers when needed in the yard. Lifting Bending Organizing Direct Manager/Direct Reports: N/A Travel Requirements: This position requires occasional travel; less than 10%. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain standing 90%. Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly working outside. Working Conditions: A combination of indoor and outdoor work; including warehouses, job sites, customer locations, and delivery areas. Minimum Qualifications: Valid Driver's License Demonstrated knowledge of various board sizes and manufactures, mud types, and steel types Demonstrated knowledge of basic math skills. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern office software and technologies, demonstrating the ability to utilize these tools to increase efficiency and productivity. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing work environments, showing willingness to learn new tasks. Initiative: Demonstrate a proactive mindset seeking out ways to help, taking ownership of tasks, and showing eagerness to learn without waiting for direction. Work Location: On site reporting to a location with a combination of indoor and outdoor work; including warehouses, job sites, customer locations, and delivery areas. The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $16.00 to $22.80 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
