Village Manager | FIFO | 8:6 | Goldfields Region.

FULL TIMEREMOTE

Do you have a passion for shaping and influencing company culture? If so, we want you to join our team!

Sodexo have leadership opportunities across our remote sites in the Goldfields Region. We’re looking for Village Managers to join our Mining West Portfolio to oversee and manage village operations. We want you to bring your passion for safety and people management to our team!

This is a FIFO Role, 8:6 Roaster flying out from Perth.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in the successful running of village operations. Village managers are responsible for managing multiple departments including housekeeping, catering, building & maintenance and administration. Experience managing diverse teams will be essential to succeed in this role. A current manual driver’s licence is mandatory in order to operate our site vehicles.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage the overall operations and administration of the residential village, including overseeing staff, budgets, and maintenance

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to enhance the resident experience

  • Coordinate and supervise the delivery of all village services, such as catering, housekeeping, and leisure activities

  • Foster a positive and collaborative community culture, addressing resident concerns and facilitating social events

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation governing the management of a residential village

  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including residents, staff and external service providers

  • Manage the village's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.

About You

You’ll have a client and consumer centric approach to service. Financial acumen, implementing cost saving initiatives, systems utilisation, compliance and reporting are all skills that you possess, but people management skills are where you excel. You will be required to identify areas for improvement and utilise our systems, policies and procedures with a view towards improving the efficiency of village operations.

You are a food safety champion and will be familiar with HACCP compliance and remote site HSE requirements. Your strongest management skills will be related to people, teams and culture. You will have the ability to build and support team cohesion and will be a safety leader for all employees on site. You’ll have a proven ability to negotiate, influence, listen, guide and interact effectively with people at all levels of the business.

Previous remote site experience is highly desirable. In lieu of remote experience, extensive hospitality experience at a general manager level will be transferrable to this opportunity.
