GenesisCare is now looking for a Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team at our Joondalup Oncology Centre. This is a part-time position, working 7 days a fortnight across both Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology. You’ll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care and support to patients throughout their treatment. More specifically, you will: Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring patients’ physical, emotional and psychological needs are met. Support patients receiving Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology treatments, including patient education, clinical assessment, symptom management and monitoring and management of treatment-related side effects. Undertake direct patient care including medication administration and wound care in accordance with clinical protocols and scope of practice. Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, nursing colleagues, Patient Services and allied health professionals. Ensure patient assessments, interactions and interventions are appropriately documented, communicated and actioned. Contribute to best-practice oncology nursing through adherence to clinical guidelines, procedures and medication management protocols. We’re looking for someone who has: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Ideally, a minimum of 2 years' post-graduate nursing experience. Oncology experience is highly regarded, but not essential – we are happy to support the right nurse to develop their oncology skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Well-developed clinical assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills. A commitment to quality improvement, best practice and the NSQHS Standards. A commitment to ongoing professional development. Wound care experience would be advantageous. Confidence using electronic clinical systems and Microsoft Office.
