Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world. A career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference and invest in your growth in a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment. If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary. Job Summary Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Proposal Engineering Manager located in Dallas, TX. Review RFQs, customer specifications, and contract documents to define scope, assess feasibility, and ensure technically and commercially compliant quotations. Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing to enhance competitiveness, alignment, and customer satisfaction. Implement and improve estimating tools, SOPs, and KPIs, leveraging market insights, closed-loop feedback, and lessons learned to optimize accuracy and performance. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 5 5+ years of experience in estimating, proposal management, project engineering, project management, or related technical roles within electrical equipment, power systems, industrial manufacturing, utility, EPC, or data center industries. Prior leadership, team lead, mentorship, or supervisory experience preferred. Experience estimating switchgear, control panels, e-houses, power distribution systems, substations, modular data centers, or similar engineered-to-order products is highly desirable. Strong understanding of project costing, pricing strategy, contract review, risk management, and margin analysis. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer technical requirements. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
