We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Analyst to support Navy strategic weapons, nuclear surety, policy, compliance, and operational readiness initiatives. This role requires experience supporting complex defense programs involving weapons systems, operational procedures, safety and security requirements, inspections, emergency response, training, and program assessments.

The ideal candidate will provide technical and programmatic support across strategic weapons operations, documentation, inspections, training, readiness, and sustainment activities. This position will work closely with Government stakeholders, technical subject matter experts, fleet organizations, and program leadership to ensure mission requirements, policies, procedures, and operational objectives are successfully executed.

💼 What You'll Do

  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) and program support for technical analyses, research, inquiries, testing, data validation, and operational assessments related to Navy strategic weapons systems and supporting facilities.
  • Interface directly with Government program personnel and technical stakeholders on matters related to weapons surety, safety, security, readiness, and compliance.
  • Assist in identifying, planning, developing, and delivering program products, procedures, policies, and processes supporting strategic weapons operations.
  • Develop, review, update, and maintain technical, operational, and program documentation in accordance with applicable Navy and DoD requirements.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for weapons inspections and assessments, including preparation of checklists, documentation review, results tracking, report development, trend analysis, corrective-action tracking, and on-site support.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response programs, including training, qualification, communications, exercises, after-action reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support sustainment, maintenance, connectivity, training, qualification, and operational readiness activities associated with strategic weapons systems.
  • Coordinate with fleet organizations, operational commands, technical authorities, program offices, and other stakeholders to support successful system employment and compliance with applicable directives and policies.
  • Participate in meetings and working groups requiring close coordination with customers, subject matter experts, engineering organizations, operational personnel, and end users.
  • Support the development of program plans and documentation, including requirements, schedules, master plans, cost estimates, test plans, readiness assessments, and other program materials.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and develop recommendations supporting program planning, risk reduction, operational readiness, and decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, program briefs, status reports, memorandums, and formal correspondence.
  • Track actions, schedules, deliverables, and program activities to ensure work is completed within established requirements.

🧠 What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience supporting Navy strategic weapons, submarine weapons, nuclear surety, weapons operations, missile systems, strike operations, or a closely related defense mission area.
  • An active DoD security clearance at the Top-Secret level or above, or a recently active Top Secret clearance.
  • Previous military, Government, or contractor experience supporting submarine weapons, strategic weapons systems, missile operations, fire control, ordnance, weapons safety, or related mission areas.
  • Experience working within highly regulated operational environments requiring strict procedural compliance and technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with weapons safety, emergency response, incident management, inspection, or operational readiness programs.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, or working from technical procedures, operating instructions, ordnance documentation, standard operating procedures, or other controlled technical documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical, operational, and senior Government stakeholders.

⭐ Bonus Points

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant technical, engineering, management, or defense-related discipline.
  • Previous submarine or fleet operational experience.
  • Strategic weapons, missile, strike, or nuclear weapons experience.
  • Experience supporting weapons inspection, certification, qualification, or compliance programs.
  • Experience with command-and-control, communications, authentication, or emergency-response systems.
