What you'll be doing
This isn't a role where you'll spend your day behind a desk. You'll be out on the production floor, supporting your team and helping keep our plant operating at its best.
You'll:
- Lead and develop a team of 14-16 production staff.
- Manage staffing, workflow and daily production priorities.
- Coach and develop team members while creating a positive team culture.
- Make practical decisions to keep production running safely and efficiently.
- Work with the engineer and external parties to troubleshoot production issues and minimise downtime
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and productivity.
About You
We're far more interested in your technical capability than years of supervision experience.
You might currently be working as a:
- Maintenance Engineer
- Mechanical Fitter
- Fitter & Turner
- Production Engineer
- Senior Machine Operator
- Leading Hand
- Manufacturing Technician
and be ready to take the next step into leadership.
You'll ideally bring:
- Hands-on manufacturing experience, with confidence working around machinery and identifying and resolving equipment issues.
- The confidence to make practical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach to solving day-to-day challenges.
- The ability to lead by example and build positive working relationships with your team.
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to support and develop others.
