We’re looking for a driven Business Development professional to take ownership of Halo’s growth across Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu-Wanganui and Wellington regions. This is a hands-on sales role for someone who thrives on getting out on farm, opening doors and turning relationships into business.
Based in Taranaki, you’ll build strong connections with farmers, dealers and industry partners, uncover new opportunities and grow Halo’s presence across the region. Travel to Hawke’s Bay and travel around the region will be approximately every 6–8 weeks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive new business, with effluent monitoring a key focus, particularly farms approaching consent renewal or conversion.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline in HubSpot.
- Develop relationships with farmers, contractors, suppliers and industry partners to generate new business.
- Grow sales across Halo’s wider offering, including grain silo, milk vat and chemical monitoring.
- Strengthen the dealer network and identify opportunities to win customers from competing solutions.
- Support existing customers and identify opportunities for further growth.
- Prepare accurate quotes and work with dealers through installation and commissioning.
We’re looking for a proactive hunter and natural relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities, getting out on farm and turning conversations into sales. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Proven success in business development and solution sales, with strong commercial acumen.
- A confident communicator and natural relationship builder.
- CRM experience, ideally HubSpot.
- Agriculture, dairy, irrigation or agri-tech experience is an advantage.
- Comfortable travelling and spending time in market.
- Professional, safety-conscious and motivated to deliver results.
