The N2 Company

Remote

Marketing Campaign Specialist.

REMOTESALES & MARKETING$50K–60K/MO

At the N2 Company, our vision is "to be the most respected franchise in the nation, to share stories that build community, and to provide meaningful work for our team".

About Us

The N2 Company is America’s leading publisher of community magazines. We’re proud of our award-winning media brands – they reach millions of readers in nearly every state and help great businesses connect with ideal clients – but we’re even more proud to provide supportive and fulfilling remote work opportunities for our people.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Campaign Specialist to turn reader interest into meaningful conversations with our Readership Engagement Specialists. You’ll create and manage email, text, and social media campaigns that encourage readers to get involved with their community magazines. From building targeted audiences and crafting messages to testing campaigns and tracking results, you’ll help turn interest into booked meetings.

Reporting to the Director of Content Operations, you’ll work closely with our readership engagement and content teams to coordinate campaigns, support publication needs, and find ways to improve results. Your focus will be generating interest and scheduling conversations, while reader interviews and advertising sales are handled by their respective teams.

This role is fully remote. Interviews for this opening will be conducted over the phone and via video calls. The salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually.

The Role in Action

  • Create and manage reader outreach campaigns across email, text, and social media using tools like Instantly.
  • Organize reader lists by publication and audience while maintaining accurate contact records and honoring consent and opt-out requests.
  • Write engaging campaign messages and follow-ups that clearly explain the opportunity and how readers can participate.
  • Set up and test campaign schedules, links, forms, and booking pages to ensure everything works properly before launch.
  • Track campaign performance and test different audiences, messages, and timing to improve responses and booked meetings.
  • Connect interested readers with the right Readership Engagement Specialist and provide the details needed for timely follow-up.
  • Work with readership engagement and content teams to review results and improve meeting attendance, reader fit, and story opportunities.
  • Maintain campaign settings and documentation, troubleshoot routine issues, and coordinate with Technology or vendors when additional support is needed.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who will hit the ground running with:

  • Experience creating and managing email, text, or social media campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Instantly or similar email outreach tools and the ability to learn new platforms.
  • Strong writing skills and a basic understanding of audience targeting, campaign testing, and email deliverability.
  • Comfort using spreadsheets, reviewing campaign results, and maintaining contact records.
  • Attention to detail when managing data accuracy, consent requirements, and opt-out requests.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, communicate clearly with teammates, and troubleshoot common issues.

Skills and Qualities that Set You Apart:

  • Put readers first with relevant, respectful invitations.
  • Own the details and ensure campaigns are ready to launch.
  • Keep improving through testing, tracking results, and trying new approaches.
  • Support your teammates with clear, helpful handoffs.
  • Take ownership of problems and follow through on solutions.
