Aurora Energy Research

Stockholm, Stockholm

Senior Client Solutions Analyst.

FULL TIMESENIOR LEVELDESIGN
Aurora’s Software Solutions team is building the global investment analytics platform for the energy transition. Widely adopted by leading energy companies and investors, the platform is changing how energy-market analytics is performed and delivered. To enable the best possible user experience through both product development and analysis delivery, Aurora’s global Client Solutions team provides the critical end-to-end interface between the underlying model development and the end user.

Aurora is seeking a motivated and client-focused (Senior) Power Markets Analyst to join the team in Stockholm and support the use and adoption of Aurora’s software suite in Europe, with a focus on the Nordic power markets (Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway). Stockholm is one of Aurora’s fastest-growing locations, offering early opportunities to make an impact and help lead the development of the Client Solutions team. This role is critical to expanding Aurora’s software offering. It involves working cross-functionally with Aurora’s Advisory, Product, Research, and Commercial teams and requires a combination of power-markets expertise and proficiency with Aurora’s software products.

The successful candidate will combine astute analytical ability with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with clients. They will be confident discussing power markets and the energy transition and eager to work in a creative, intellectually stimulating, and supportive environment, where they will play a driving role in one of Aurora’s key strategic priorities.

  • Support leading developers, utilities, and funds across the power sector to deploy capital in the energy transition by integrating Aurora’s software into their strategic investment decisions.
  • Deliver specialised onboarding training sessions and energy-market workshops to guide customers in using the software to build and interpret asset-specific and market-level revenue forecasts.
  • Perform and deliver analyses for software-driven client projects.
  • Exercise judgement and critically assess software outputs to ensure our financial forecasts are defensible.
  • Help clients leverage insights from Aurora’s software during transactions and strategic decision-making.
  • Answer client questions across a broad range of topics, ensuring that clients can unlock value from the software.
  • Leverage insights from customer-usage data to perform strategic retention and expansion activities.
  • Identify and help implement improvements while contributing to the expansion of the team’s capabilities in the Nordics.

Required attributes:
  • At least 1–2 years of professional experience in an analytical, knowledge-driven role.
  • Strong understanding of Nordic energy-market topics, including energy policy.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence in client-facing situations.
  • A high degree of persistence and a hands-on approach to ensuring that firm-wide goals are achieved.
  • Demonstrated success in team environments.
  • Ability to work in the Nordics. Please indicate any current or future visa sponsorship requirements as part of your application.
  • Professional-level written and spoken English.
Desirable attributes
  • Experience in energy consulting or B2B client-facing roles.
  • Power-market modelling and/or financial-forecasting experience.
  • Transferable knowledge of other European power markets.
  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to grow the business.
  • Familiarity with presenting in front of senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of Project Finance, debt transactions, equity transactions, M&A, and asset-management life cycles
  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian or Finnic language

Some of the benefits we include are:
  • The opportunity to learn how major players in the energy sector view the evolution of power markets and make strategic investment decisions accordingly
  • A chance to develop a deep understanding of investment processes such as capital raising, portfolio strategy and management, and transactions
  • Direct engagement with clients across the energy industry through client presentations, Aurora conferences, workshops, and webinars
  • A fun, informal, collaborative, and international work culture
  • A competitive salary package
  • Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Physical and mental wellbeing support via OneLab
  • Access to regular coaching and mentoring sessions, and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals
  • Access to the Aurora Academy, our training programme offering a range of development opportunities within the role and in the wider context of the energy sector
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering expert advice and compassionate guidance 24/7/365 on a wide range of personal and professional topics.

At Aurora, we welcome requests for flexible working. For most roles, flexibility is typically possible through a hybrid model (remote and in-office) and adaptable start and finish times. This role will require four days a week in our Stockholm office. Please speak with us during your interview to explore the best options for you; we are willing to accommodate flexible-working requests.

Aurora Energy Research is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates and employees. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of background or identity.

The successful candidate will start as soon as possible. The team will review applications as they are received. The salary will be competitive and based on experience.

Even if you do not meet every requirement listed above, we encourage you to apply if you believe you would be a strong fit for the role.
