SNIPEBRIDGE

Houston

Studio Practice Leader - 3D0W001.

FULL TIMEDESIGN

SNIPEBRIDGE is a strategic talent solutions company specializing in connecting exceptional talent to great career opportunities. We work as an exclusive partner to top AEC and design firms that are redefining the industry through innovation and transformative work.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a nationally recognized, 100% employee-owned landscape architecture, planning and urban design firm with more than five decades of practice and a network of studios across the United States. The firm is known for research-driven, collaborative work that creates resilient, meaningful places, and its portfolio has earned hundreds of national honors from organizations including ASLA, APA and ULI. As an ESOP, every employee shares in both the responsibility and the rewards of building the practice.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The firm is hiring two Studio Practice Leaders, one for its Houston studio and one for its Raleigh studio. You will work in partnership with the Studio Leader/Principal to advance the studio across four connected areas: business, leadership, people and content.

This is a practice-building role first. It is not a project management title with business development added on. You will bring an established network, originate significant new work and grow the studio’s presence in its markets. You will also stay close enough to the work to shape design direction and create room for others to lead.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Market Leadership

  • Originate, pursue and win significant new work aligned with the firm’s strategic priorities, drawing on an established network of clients, developers, public agencies and allied consultants
  • Build and manage a pipeline that contributes meaningfully to studio and firmwide revenue
  • Expand existing client relationships while opening new clients and markets
  • Maintain a visible market presence through professional organizations, conferences, speaking and writing
  • Identify emerging markets, client needs and opportunities for new services

Design & Practice

  • Lead complex landscape architecture, planning and urban design work from vision and concept through implementation
  • Bring design judgment, technical expertise and strategic thinking to projects and client conversations
  • Advance solutions that deliver measurable environmental, community and economic impact
  • Raise the quality, rigor and consistency of design and delivery across the studio

Leadership & Strategy

  • Partner with studio leadership on business, practice and talent priorities
  • Develop long-range strategies for your areas of responsibility and turn them into measurable results
  • Serve as a visible leader within the studio and across the firm, and champion collaboration across studios, disciplines and markets

People & Mentorship

  • Attract, mentor and develop professionals at every career stage
  • Identify emerging leaders and create real opportunities for them to step up
  • Build a studio culture of curiosity, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from an accredited landscape architecture program
  • Professional Landscape Architect licensure preferred
  • Significant experience leading complex landscape architecture, planning and/or urban design projects
  • Demonstrated track record of originating, pursuing and winning significant new work
  • A well-established professional network and client relationships in one or more of the firm’s target markets
  • Recognized expertise and credibility within the profession and with clients
  • Strong project and financial management capabilities
  • Proven experience building, mentoring and leading high-performing teams
  • Established client relationships in the Houston/Gulf Coast or Raleigh/Research Triangle market is a plus
