Pastry Chef- Mitsis Selection Azure
Region: Halkidiki
Employment Type: Temporary / Full-time
Purpose:
As Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the entire production line and the smooth operation of the pastry kitchen, based on the designated menus and in collaboration with the Group Executive Chef of the group. The role requires a strong understanding of various pastry techniques and costing, as well as the ability to coordinate the team with a focus on the final result, in line with the high standards of the Mitsis Group.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in the creation of menus that align with the customer profile and the company’s standards, in collaboration with the Group Executive Chef.
- Organizes and directs the smooth operation of the pastry kitchen, as well as the timely production and presentation of desserts in line with the menus and brand standards.
- Monitors the production process in terms of quality, use of ingredients, and quantity.
- Monitors supply inventory and handles orders.
- Supervises and controls the machinery and equipment of the pastry kitchen, and ensures the timely handling of any maintenance or repair issues.
- Trains and guides the pastry team in line with company standards.
- Maintains records relating to budget and costs, and prepares relevant reports.
- Collaborates with the Chefs to ensure a smooth workflow and the timely resolution of issues concerning operations and production.
- Oversees compliance with ISO standards and procedures, and ensures the proper implementation of hygiene and safety rules in the pastry kitchen.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar position.
- Degree in pastry arts
- Strong knowledge of various pastry techniques and costing
- Ability to effectively manage time and multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Results-oriented, with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of and experience in applying food hygiene and safety standards
- Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
