Role:

Reporting to the Group Head of Enterprise Risk Management, the Manager ERM provides operational and coordination capacity across VEON Group’s enterprise risk management activities. The role executes the Group’s risk frameworks, platform, and reporting cycles, implementing methodologies, running the cross-OpCo cadence, consolidating OpCo risk materials, and building out emerging-risk coverage across new verticals, the digital portfolio, and climate/ESG.

Responsibilities:

Emerging Risk & Framework Implementation

• Implement risk assessment frameworks for new verticals and business lines entering the portfolio, applying consistent Group methodology and governance.

• Operationalise the Digital Portfolio Risk Assessment framework across relevant entities.

• Lead the Climate and ESG Risk Assessments and reporting through OpCos.

• Monitor emerging risks — AI, regulatory, geopolitical, and industry transformation — and maintain the associated early-warning indicators.

Platform & Process Operations

• Administer the ERM platform day-to-day: dashboards, workflows, taxonomy, and data quality.

• Drive continuous improvement of ERM methodologies and reporting processes across the Group.

• Maintain enterprise-wide data governance and taxonomy consistency across the platform.

Cross-OpCo Coordination & Risk Cadence

• Run the operational ERM cadence across all OpCos and newly acquired entities, managing quarterly and periodic assessment cycles.

• Coordinate risk submissions and validate summaries for completeness, quality, and consistency.

• Perform cross-OpCo theme analysis, trend identification, and benchmarking.

• Escalate material risks, emerging issues, and process gaps to the Group Head ERM.

ARC & Board Reporting Support

• Support Group Head ERM to consolidate inputs from OpCos that feed into ARC reporting pack.

• Perform risk analytics, heatmap evolution, and scenario analysis to support enterprise decision-making.

• Validate data and challenge assumptions to safeguard reporting integrity.

• Support communication of enterprise risk posture, emerging risks, and governance effectiveness to management, the ARC, and the Board.

• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading risk framework development, risk transformation initiatives, or cross-functional risk governance programmes.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, data engineering or a related discipline; relevant professional certification (e.g. FRM, PRM, CIA, ACCA/CA) an advantage.

• Exposure to emerging risk domains — digital, fintech, ESG/climate, or new business verticals — preferred.
