Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and tests on metallurgical samples and materials.
- Analyse test results and compile detailed reports to assist in decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and material usage.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in developing new metallurgical processes and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a metallurgy or materials testing environment.
- Strong knowledge of metal properties, processing techniques, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in using metallurgical analysis equipment and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
