Summary: Busy newspaper warehouse and mailroom position. We are looking for a self-starter and quick learner to join our team helping to get our local newspapers into the hands of our readers. We have openings for both a day shift starting around 8:00 AM (+/-) and a night shift running from 5:15 PM up to 2:30 AM (Saturday start time ~4:30 PM). A flexible schedule is required for both options. What you will do: Feed inserts into our SLS 2000 insert machine Take bundled newspapers off of our Quipp stacking machines and place on skids Shrink wrap skids and stage for delivery Light maintenance Reports to mailroom supervisors and or manager Help Supervisor with loading and unloading truck of inserts Assist logging inserts into Web Exchange program Clean up after shift What you will bring: Able to operate a forklift and or motorized pallet jack to move materials within the warehouse Good mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and work with machinery and equipment Attention to detail, accuracy and precision in handling materials and documentation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the work day Benefits and Compensation: The hourly range is $12.00 - $15.00 + one time sign on bonus.
