Automotive/Diesel Mechanic This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, fire fans, automobiles, and diesel trucks. The Automotive/Diesel Mechanic must possess knowledge of vehicle and equipment repair, including rebuilding transmissions, rear ends, engines, and performing all facets of automotive and diesel maintenance. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, repairing equipment to minimize downtime, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Team members must be able to read and write, possess basic math skills, and communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members. The position requires flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and additional hours as needed. Candidates must maintain good attendance and be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including frequent use of hands, legs, and feet; bending, twisting, turning, kneeling, and working in various positions while servicing equipment. Team members must also be able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the duration of their shift.
