You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law. Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are: 10+ years of experience leading analytics initiatives, with significant tenure in product analytics roles and a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics 6+ years leading analytics teams, including managing managers Deep expertise in product analytics techniques, including experimentation design and analysis, causal inference, funnel and retention analysis, user segmentation, and product metric frameworks Proven ability to build measurement systems that connect product engagement to business and financial outcomes, including contributing to financial forecasting processes Comfortable getting your own data — you write SQL, work directly in BigQuery or similar, and don't need an analyst to pull numbers for you when you want to investigate something Advanced experience with analytics tools including SQL, R/Python; familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., BigQuery, dbt, Looker) Passionate about using data to drive product decisions; equally strong analytically and in translating complexity into clear, actionable narratives Natural collaborator who knows how to drive decision-making through influence across Product, Engineering, and Finance, with a forward-looking and solutions-oriented approach Inspiring, engaging, and clear communication style; strong executive presence — you're as comfortable presenting to a room of data scientists as you are advising the CPTO Proven track record of building strong teams through active development and recruiting top talent Compensation & Benefits In addition to salary, you'll be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family.
