Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work onsite in Richardson, TX. This position requires an active US Secret security clearance. What You Will Do: This Senior Engineer helps maintain the product line engineering model, developing structure and behavior diagrams that describe the systems architecture and design. They collaborate with other IPTs to obtain the information and data needed in the system model for this program. Working with the planning team to create conceptual data models, data flows and system design documents. Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system. Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility. Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models. Updating and optimizing local and possible metadata models. Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency. Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems. Responsible for capturing the systems architecture and/or design in a system engineering tool. Collaborate with other program IPTs to understand the architecture and design, and ultimately capture the subsystems architecture, interactions, and data flows between the components. Qualifications You Must Have: Hands on experience in Cameo, DOORS, Teamwork Cloud, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) Experience with Systems engineering tools (i.e. Cameo Suite) Experience with Agile framework and methodology Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
