The Shipboard Effectors Department is currently searching for an Electrical Design Engineer I to work on a multi-discipline team to support the production of Shipboard Effectors products and subsystems located in Louisville, KY. The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and other electrical subsystem hardware. We are seeking candidates with the skills and passion to engineer complex systems, subsystems, circuit card assemblies, and components. A successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes. A candidate is willing to collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration . Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels Resolution of issues on production lines and in testing (including suppliers) Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation Performing analog and digital circuit analysis, and characterizing and modeling electrical signals of electronic subsystems in simulation Identifying and instantiating circuit card and subassembly design update Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date. Experience with one or more of the following: Analog, Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Digital Signal Processing or PCB design.
