Job Title: Housekeeper 3- Muscogee YDC- Midland, GA Agency: Department of Juvenile Justice Job Requisition ID: JR0000003086 Shift: Any (United States of America) Compensation Details: $30, 000.00 Job Description: Under broad supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities. Maintains supplies as needed. Primary Duties & Responsibilities • Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision • Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas • May supervise and/or direct the work of others • Cleans and straightens assigned areas • Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition • Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed • Makes specialized clothing and other items (eg restraining clothing, helmets, surgical gowns) • Mends and makes minor alterations to residents' clothing and other items Makes simple repairs to upholstery and mattresses • Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse • Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment • Plans, develops, schedules and implements laundry services Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of experience as a lead worker in a related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 2 (FES041) or position equivalent.
