We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining. Make your impact You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future. This includes overseeing the backbone network that supports global operations. • Strategic Network Development: Support the development and execution of the Network strategy, roadmap, and technology direction, including evaluating emerging technologies such as private access and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). Manage technical debt and ensure alignment with business goals. • Operational Oversight: Provide leadership and operational oversight for network service delivery, including vendor and MSP management, infrastructure deployment, incident resolution, service performance, and continuous improvement. Act as a technical escalation point for major incidents and operational requests. • Financial and Resource Management: Support financial planning, business case development, and resource allocation to ensure network services and projects are delivered effectively and aligned with business objectives. • Daily Role: Balance approximately 60% strategic project and change activities with 40% business-as-usual escalations and management oversight to ensure smooth day-to-day network operations. • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to support global teams and vendor engagements. • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture. What you’ll bring Must-haves: • Strong experience in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure, including routing and switching, wireless networking, security technologies, cloud networking, ZTNA, and Security Service Edge (SSE). • Proven expertise with Cisco stack technologies, including Cisco routing and switching, Cisco FTD Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), and Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC). CCNA certification is a minimum; CCIE or equivalent experience is highly desirable. • Experience working effectively with geographically dispersed teams, stakeholders, and service partners across multiple time zones and cultural environments. • Strong communication skills and ability to act as a technical escalation point for network incidents and operational requests. Nice-to-haves: • Experience with private access technologies such as Zscaler and Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA). • Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools including GitHub, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Python, Ansible, Cisco Observability platforms, and SolarWinds. • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL and experience with ServiceNow. • Experience leading or supporting global network teams in a flat organizational structure.
