Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. The role will focus on zeolite materials synthesis, catalyst preparation, performance evaluation, and mechanistic understanding via detailed characterizations. Key Responsibilities: Hydrothermal and solvothermal synthesis of zeolites, catalyst loading and modification techniques such as impregnation and ion exchange. Design formulations and optimize processes for zeolite-based catalysts, including control of crystallization conditions, screening of structure-directing agents, and post-treatment processes. Set up and maintain catalyst performance evaluation systems, including fixed-bed and batch reactors. Systematically assess catalyst activity, selectivity, and stability in target thermal catalytic reactions, such as hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, hydrodeoxygenation, and isomerization. Catalyst Characterization Job Requirements: PhD qualification degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials chemistry or related field At least 2 years of relevant experiences in zeolite synthesis and related catalyst development and hands-on experience running thermal reactions.
