A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience
A proven track record of leading and scaling engineering organizations, directly mentoring Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers, and driving staffing, performance, and organizational planning

Exceptional communication and analytical skills in both the technical and product domains. You know how to translate technical realities into business impact, challenge trade-offs constructively, and align diverse stakeholders
Deep architectural understanding rooted in hands-on past experience as a software engineer - specifically within modern backend (Java, Kotlin) and/or frontend (React/JS) ecosystems
Profound understanding of distributed systems, RESTful API design, scalable cloud architectures, and the operational demands of reliable, secure, and maintainable systems
Experience with incident management, security, resilience, and change management in a regulated environment is a strong plus. Background in financial services is an advantage
