Job Description Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and help keep our operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working independently, and taking pride in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace. Responsibilities Perform duties with minimum supervision. Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance. Assist employees in all departments and facilities in solving maintenance problems. Keep shop area and molding machines neat and orderly. Willingness to get training to progress in maintenance field. Obtain parts in times of emergency. Take control of machine when a situation arises that has the potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of the machine. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Work independently and as part of a team. Have mechanical aptitude. Accept responsibility for work performed. Dependable and motivated with a good work history. Able to participate in an apprenticeship program. Able to read blue prints and schematics. Good reading comprehension and math skills. Must provide own tools. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 35 pounds overhead. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to waist. Must be able to work around grease, oils and solvents without adverse reaction. Ability to climb up and down ladders. Must be able to stand, walk bend or stoop through an entire shift. Good manual dexterity of arms and fingers.
