Where is the work: On-Site (5 days) Position Description · The Material Driver under general supervision, distributes either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods. · This position is expected to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the needs of the Materials and production or other departments. · Tasks will vary by work area and work assignments will change based on business demands, routine Job rotations will be required to support the Safety, Quality and Productivity Objectives · The position is expected to perform the specified job duties within the allotted time, within the quality standards and prescribed methods. Essential Job Functions · Moves goods and material within a production environment using a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) · Loading, unloading, or moving goods and material from one location to another with a forklift or other PIV · Works on a PIV, operates warehouse computer software with moderate expertise. Education, Experience & Skills · High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Previous warehouse experience is a plus · Ability to obtain forklift certification · 6mon-1year forklift experience · High school diploma · 18 years or older · Safety training · Vehicle Training Physical Requirements · Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.
