This role is primarily responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting/repairs of CAT generator sets, battery energy storage systems, electrical distribution/control systems, and compressed air products. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a field based environment while representing Finning and Caterpillar to the highest standard. Gas engines Air Compressors Qualifications: Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred) HET Certification; (Apprentices will be considered) or, Willing to pursue apprenticeship Electrical Safety Training – Arc Flash and Shock (CSAZ462) FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset Proven experience working on generators or power systems Experience with: Generator installation and commissioning Natural Gas & Diesel Engine systems ATS and emergency power systems Electrical troubleshooting in industrial environments Power Generation experience would be considered an asset Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset Team player capable of working with minimal supervision, in challenging conditions Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract Note: A skills assessment may be required during the application/review process Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
