What You'll Do Participate in end-to-end feature development, growing social and gameplay systems. Own features from concept through release and monitoring. Implement frontend functionality in JavaScript across iOS, Android, and Web. Compose and build backend services and APIs in PHP to power new gameplay, social, and LiveOps features. Develop scalable RESTful APIs consumed by client applications. Contribute to data modeling and persistence for player progression, rewards, and events. Improve backend efficiency to handle high concurrency and sizable player populations. Ensure features are reliable, testable, and production-ready. Assess and optimize frontend and backend performance to provide a fluid player experience. Partner with Product to scope technical solutions and make pragmatic tradeoffs. Monitor post-launch performance and iterate based on player behavior and metrics. Translate creative concepts into engaging, scalable systems. Help foster an inclusive engineering atmosphere dedicated to education and constant progress. Proactively find opportunities to improve architecture, tooling, and delivery practices. What We're Looking For B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 4+ years of professional software development experience. Experience with JavaScript in production environments. Experience building backend services in a live environment. Experience crafting and consuming RESTful APIs. Understanding of client-server architecture. Experience contributing to features through the full development lifecycle. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a player-first approach. Nice-to-Have Experience developing backend services in PHP (strongly preferred). Experience working within an existing PHP codebase. Experience building gameplay systems such as events, rewards, progression, or social mechanics. Experience in mobile gaming, social casino, or Games-as-a-Service environments. Familiarity with experimentation, feature flags, or live feature delivery. Mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android).
