For our location in Kroellendorf we are looking for a motivated personality ready to join our Flavour Development department as Flavour Analyst (all genders). WE ARE EXPANDING OUR TEAM! As the analytical backbone of our innovation team, you work at the interface between instrumental analysis and flavour development. Sounds interesting? Then you have come to the right place! WHAT YOU'LL DO Analysis of flavour compounds by GC-MS and GC-FID·Quality control of complex raw materials Coordination of analytical requests and preparation of results for the flavourists·GC-olfactometry (GC-O) to identify key odour-active components Development and validation of modern analytical methods Sample preparation and extraction (SPME/SPME-Arrow, SPE, LLE, flash chromatography) Root cause analysis of quality, off-flavour and stability issues Responsibility for the instrument infrastructure (GC-MS, GC-FID, autosamplers) Maintenance of analytical reports and SOPs plus contribution to innovation and customer projects WHAT YOU BRING Degree in chemistry/food chemistry/food technology/biotechnology or a related field At least 2–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in GC-MS-based flavours or trace analysis Confident in the use of hyphenated GC techniques (GC-MS, GC-FID, GC-O) as well as HPLC, extraction techniques (SPME, SPE, LLE) and method validation Nice to have: GC-olfactometry, flavour chemistry, MS database software (NIST, MassHunter, ChemStation) Independent, structured way of working with high quality standards and strong communication skills Business-fluent German and very good English WHAT WE OFFER State-of-the-art labs (GC-MS, sample preparation)§Interdisciplinary environment: science, sensory analysis, product development As part of an international group, we offer numerous training opportunities, job security and development prospects Further benefits: an extremely collegial team, flexible working hours, job bike leasing, public transport, childcare and lunch subsidies provided by the employer We are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position (collective agreement food industry, beverages, group IV/after 2 years EUR 3.383,43) - we will discuss your actual payment together CONTACT Romana FRANK (Teamleader of HR) | www.austriajuice.com Find out more about AUSTRIA JUICE and also visit us on LinkedIn.
