At Enbridge, we are looking for an ambitious and proven leader to join our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) as the Team Lead in Calgary, AB, Canada. This outstanding opportunity allows you to take a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operations of our renewable energy assets. This is your opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership impact, helping shape the future of remote operations and grid reliability across our evolving renewable energy portfolio! Join Enbridge and be part of an extraordinary team dedicated to balanced energy solutions. If you’re ready to advance your career and guide a team toward success, we want to hear from you. Apply today and help us build the future of renewable energy! What You Will Do: Lead and support a team of ROC Controllers to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant day-to-day operations of renewable generation assets, acting as the primary escalation point for complex or abnormal events. Independently manage high-risk, non-routine operational scenarios requiring expert knowledge of renewable generation, grid reliability, and control room operations. Coordinate and prioritize real-time controller activities to respond effectively to alarms, outages, grid instructions, and weather-driven events. Ensure strict adherence to North American Electric Reliability Corp (NERC) reliability standards, Independent System Operators / Regional Transmission Organizations (ISO/RTO) requirements, and internal procedures, including documentation, communications, and event reporting. Communicate complex operational updates clearly to internal stakeholders, site teams, and external grid operators, especially during critical or time-sensitive situations. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of control room procedures, tools, and operational best practices. Who You Are: A technical professional with a degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in engineering, business, or a related field. Experienced in a 24/7 control room or renewable operations environment, with at least 5 years in a similar operational role. Highly knowledgeable in power generation, transmission/distribution systems, renewable technologies, and grid operations. Skilled in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, alarm management, data acquisition, and performance monitoring tools used in power generation environments. Comfortable operating in highly regulated environments, with a strong understanding of NERC standards, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) market rules, and compliance requirements. A strong communicator and problem-solver with the ability to lead through complex operational scenarios and collaborate across technical and cross-functional teams. Working Conditions: Primarily office-based within a Remote Operations Centre (ROC) environment. Standard schedule is Monday to Friday, with on-call expectations and the flexibility to respond to operational needs outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel within Canada and the United States to support coordination with internal stakeholders and site teams. Work involves monitoring real-time operations and responding to time-sensitive, high-impact events in a fast-paced environment. Benefits: A flexible benefits program that allows each employee to select the level of coverage needed for their family in the areas of health, dental, insurance, and disability. A paid maternity and parental leave benefit that offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave for birth-giving parents and up to 12 weeks for other eligible parents, providing flexibility and support during this important life event. Valuable retirement savings plans, including a savings plan with company stock as an investment option. Paid time off/vacation/sick, plus paid personal days off (depending on location), and paid holidays. An Employee and Family Assistance Program. A Wellness Program, which focuses on supporting healthier employees by providing tools, resources, and opportunities to improve physical, mental, social, and financial well-being. joinourteamtech At Enbridge, we are dedicated to our core value of Inclusion.
