Within Compliance & GRA, the Compliance and EAML Examinations Program (CEEP) is a centre of excellence made up of multi-skilled examination teams, including the Wealth Compliance Examinations team. This team provides independent oversight of compliance with the laws and regulations that apply to CIBC's Investment Fund Manager, Portfolio Manager, Investment Dealer, and Mutual Fund Dealer businesses, while also monitoring, advising on, and reporting adherence to regulatory and business requirements, CIBC policies, best practices, and standards of business ethics and conduct. As a Regulatory Compliance Examiner, you'll report to the Director, Regulatory Compliance Testing and execute complex examinations across CIBC Asset Management and Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) Investment Dealer and Mutual Fund Dealer activities. You'll conduct testing to assess the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of processes and controls that mitigate regulatory and operational risk. You'll also support the evaluation of remediation plans developed by the lines of business to address identified deficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement across the examination program. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you'll succeed Perform examinations - Execute high-quality, thorough, and timely Wealth Compliance examinations. Apply your knowledge of CIBC Asset Management Inc. Use this knowledge to support the team and lines of business with guidance on regulatory requirements, best practices, and internal policies and procedures.
