Main Responsibilities As product expert, monitor product performance and drive product development activities for the Vulkollan business. According to the market needs and commercial strategy, initiate and execute application development projects and programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Together with other stakeholders/customers to identify the new, potential applications, conduct research projects (aiming new product development) independently to reach the aligned targets step by step. Upon requests, generate, test and evaluate lab-scale samples for customers. Act as technical expertise in chemistry and processing, responsible to provide professional technical service for trouble shooting/new customer process set up. Be a central interface to global production plants for Vulkollan products and raw materials. You will drive process improvements and global harmonization and manage product life cycles and specifications. Monitor market developments and align IP strategies (brand, patents, FTO analyses) with development and product strategies Be responsible for Vulkollan technical center’s daily operation by complying with HSEQ; SOPs & compliance regulations, for example: 6S, technical center equipment upgrading/planning, chemical/consumable inventory, machine/resource allocation under good prioritizing, etc. Follow standard procedures, provide manufacturing support for the new developed products, including process control & quality control etc. Good communication and conflict management with internal and external partners/customers, especially under high pressure at customer site. Design and conduct internal and external technical training program for related staff. May coach and mentor others in the field of expertise and drive the further development of employees to ensure the quality of work. May represent the company at fairs. Good communication with global team for international cooperation. Qualification Requirements (Education & Work Experience) 1. University degree or above in chemistry area (Polymer or material science is preferred.) 2. 8+ years working experience in application development and chemistry research. Experience in Elastomers would be beneficial 3. Strong leadership and communication skills: Interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal/external customers; capable to act efficiently in a complex and international environment. 4.Experience in working with international and interdisciplinary teams 5.Experience in project management, highly structured and independent work attitude 6.Strong analytical skills 7.
