Second Shift: 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM What we’re looking for Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in packaging or distribution. Certification(s): None required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a chemical plant. Understanding/familiarity with cGMP and RCRA training. How you will thrive and create an impact Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with company standards and OSHA requirements. Ensure the lines are set up and running to the production schedule in accordance with work orders. Understand line and pump configuration; clean and inspect lines; and perform line changeovers as needed. Perform prestart-up inspection on equipment and ensure that items that have failed checks are addressed. Maintain manufacturing areas clean and organized. Willing to multitask and be flexible. Keep accurate production records. Collaborate with Supervisors and Maintenance Personnel to resolve equipment setup and operations issues. Work with the QA Dept to understand, recognize, and rectify quality issues. Has the authority and responsibility to stop the line and notify QA of a contamination event. Ability to perform the duties of both a packaging operator and material handler. Manage hazardous and universal waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Perform other duties as assigned with or without accommodation. Demonstrate mechanical ability. Critical decision-making skills, creativity, and multitasking ability.
