At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives. We're looking for a creative, hands-on Industrial Designer to join the Packaging Experience team and help shape how Sonos products are packaged, revealed, and remembered. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Packaging Experience, this role owns the industrial design and unboxing experience of Sonos packaging: the box style and die-lines, the structural design of the cushions, the closure method, the product wrap, the layout of the components, and the way the product is revealed. You will work in sketch, CAD, and physical mockup, and partner closely with packaging engineering, sourcing, and suppliers to take an idea from a paper study to mass production. We are looking for someone trained in industrial design who thinks in form, material, and sequence, who is energized rather than boxed in by the constraints of fiber-based materials, drop performance, and cost targets. Industrial Designers on the Packaging Experience team work with a high degree of independence on assigned programs while collaborating daily across design and engineering. You will join a team of designers dedicated to packaging that owns the full experience of unboxing a Sonos product.
