SGP-Head Office, Singapore

Group Sustainability (Managing Director, Executive Director).

LEADERSHIP
WHO WE ARE: As Singapore’s longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932. How? By taking the time to truly understand people. From there, we provide support, services, solutions, and career paths that meet their individual needs and desires. Today, we’re on a journey of transformation. Leveraging technology and creativity to become a future-ready learning organisation. But for all that change, our strategic ambition is consistently clear and bold, which is to be Asia’s leading financial services partner for a sustainable future. We invite you to build the bank of the future. Innovate the way we deliver financial services. Work in friendly, supportive teams. Build lasting value in your community. Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career. Your Opportunity Starts Here. Why Join As part of OCBC’s ambition to be Asia’s leading financial services partner for a sustainable future, you will play a senior role in shaping and delivering the Group’s sustainability agenda. Working closely with the Group Chief Sustainability Officer, senior management, businesses and subsidiaries, you will help translate this ambition into clear priorities, practical initiatives, stakeholder engagement strategies and measurable outcomes. You will partner businesses and subsidiaries across markets to advance opportunities, manage risks, strengthen governance and disclosures, shape stakeholder engagement, and represent OCBC in the wider sustainability and financial sector ecosystem. How you succeed You combine strategic judgement with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to execution. You build strong partnerships across business, risk and support functions, and translate complex and emerging sustainability topics into clear direction, practical actions and credible narratives for internal and external stakeholders. What you will be doing: Develop, review and support the implementation of the Group’s sustainability strategy, priorities and commitments, translating them into actionable plans, initiatives and measurable outcomes. Drive cross-functional initiatives, partnering business units, subsidiaries and support functions to identify, shape and deliver sustainability-related initiatives, including business solutions as well as internal process improvements and capabilities. Support the development, review, promotion and implementation of sustainability policies, frameworks, standards, practices and reporting in collaboration with business units and relevant control functions. Monitor sustainability, regulatory, risk, market, industry and competitive developments, translating insights into opportunities, risks and strategic implications for the Board and senior management. Represent OCBC at industry forums, conferences, roundtables and other engagements, and contribute to thought leadership on sustainable/transition finance and emerging sustainability topics. Oversee the development of appropriate positioning and messaging on key sustainability topics across markets. Build and manage relationships with regulators, government bodies, industry associations and ecosystem partners to support OCBC’s sustainability agenda, franchise and market positioning. What we are looking for: Graduate degree from an accredited university or equivalent. At least 15 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated success in banking, financial services, sustainable finance, sustainability or a related field. Strong understanding and prior experience of financial institutions and how sustainability considerations apply across the sector would be an advantage. In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, taxonomies, regulatory and industry developments in Singapore and the region. A forward-looking and practical problem solver who can identify key issues, simplify complexity and translate insights into actionable recommendations and solutions. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders across businesses, functions, regions and cultures, and plan, prioritise and deliver multiple workstreams concurrently with strong execution discipline and attention to detail. Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking and communication skills, with experience representing an organisation externally and briefing senior leaders. Collaborative team player who builds trust across teams and with stakeholders, and demonstrates OCBC’s values of Lasting Value, Integrity, Forward-looking, Respect and Responsibility in how work is delivered. What we offer: Competitive base salary. A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle. Community initiatives. Industry-leading learning and professional development opportunities. Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers. Let’s build the bank we need for the future we want. Find the best version of yourself in a friendly, supportive team. Build lasting value in your community. Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career. Your Opportunity Starts Here Introduce yourself to our recruiters and we'll get in touch if there's a role that seems like a good match. As the longest established Singapore bank, formed in 1932 from the merger of three local banks, we have grown from strength to strength to become a regional financial services group. With a deep history in Asia, we offer the most comprehensive coverage across ASEAN and Greater China, complemented with a presence in the leading economies of New York, London and Sydney. We are the second largest financial services group in Southeast Asia by assets with one of the world’s highest credit rating (Aa1 by Moody’s and AA- by both Fitch and S&P). We offer private banking services through our wholly-owned subsidiary, Bank of Singapore, which operates on a unique open-architecture product platform to source for the best-in-class products to meet its clients’ goals. Our insurance subsidiary, Great Eastern Holdings, is the oldest and most established life insurance group in Singapore and Malaysia.
