Position Summary The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors while ensuring that linens, clothing, and other laundry items are properly cleaned and handled. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces as needed. Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and resident clothing. Operate laundry equipment safely and follow proper washing procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping and laundry areas. Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Handle cleaning supplies and chemicals according to facility procedures. Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards. Respect resident privacy, dignity, and personal belongings. Assist the housekeeping and laundry team with daily tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred. Ability to follow cleaning procedures and infection control guidelines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and hardworking. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required for the position. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
