POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and performs a variety of accounting responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), and organization-wide policies and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Prepare monthly general ledger entries: cash, prepaid, accruals, allocations, intercompany, and lease accounting. • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules. • Track and allocate costs associated with different departments and cost centers. • Prepare account reconciliation and roll-forward schedules. • Assist with monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis as needed. • Assist with SEC quarterly review, annual audit, and SOX compliance. • Prepare and file sales & use tax, business property tax, VAT, etc. • Assist with local statutory audits and filings. • Identify and drive process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency. • Other duties as assigned.
