The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota and UMPhysicians is recruiting a full-time headache neurologist for M Health Fairview – Maplewood Neurology clinic. Position Highlights: As part of a multidisciplinary team, this position will provide outpatient subspecialty headache neurology services at the Maplewood Neurology clinic, with option for time at additional locations if desired. Management of associated headache diagnoses including trigeminal neuralgia or facial pain Willingness to manage general neurology needs in the established headache patient population preferred(ex: initial work up of symptomatic complaints but not long term management of chronic disease) Limited inpatient call coverage is expected (maximum 4 weeks a year of general neurology service) Opportunities to supervise and train medical students, residents and fellows. Opportunity to collaborate with innovative neuroscience physicians and researchers on clinical trial research and other academic activities. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency training program and Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association. Ideal candidates have also completed headache fellowship training although not required Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain and / or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills. Pay and Benefits: This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $218,757 - $344,326 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.  The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
