Key Responsibilities: • Independently manage the end-to-end processing of loan modifications, HUD Partial Claims, and short sale closings. • Perform advanced quality control reviews of legal and financial documents to ensure compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines. • Coordinate with internal departments, title companies, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth closings. • Review and clear title issues prior to document execution and recording. • Ensure accurate and timely updates to Selene’s system of record, including status tracking for internal and private label clients. • Process complex payment applications, reversals, and fee waivers in accordance with modification terms. • Validate that financial calculations align with modification terms and system data. • Prepare and submit documents for notarization, execution, recording, and imaging. • Support process improvements and assist in training and mentoring Default Servicing Specialist I team members. • Maintain compliance with internal controls and contribute to audit readiness. • This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work. Qualifications: • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in loan servicing, default resolution, or a related financial services role. • Strong understanding of loan modification, short sale, and HUD Partial Claim processes. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
