POSITION SPECIFICS The College of Engineering and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill an Assistant Research Professor position to lead in vivo studies in dual-switch selection gene drives. This position will play a key role in advancing the in vivo delivery, efficacy, and safety of candidate dual-switch selection drives. Requirements and Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment and strong hands-on expertise in in vivo mouse handling and tumor models. Candidates with additional expertise in one or more of the following are especially encouraged to apply: cell and gene therapy, synthetic biology, tyrosine kinase-driven drug resistance, in vivo imaging, and agent-based modeling. The successful applicant needs excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must be able to work across multiple labs, including the Hemann Lab at MIT.
