Community Support Worker.

FULL TIME

🏡 Help people live life their way

This is a hands-on home care role. Alongside companionship and practical help, you’ll provide personal care, always respecting each person’s dignity, privacy and choices.

Following individual care plans, you’ll support clients with:

  • Personal care: Helping with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence care.

  • Medication: Collecting prescriptions, providing reminders and supporting or administering medication in line with your training and the client’s care plan.

  • Meals and drinks: Preparing meals, snacks and drinks that reflect individual preferences and dietary needs, and helping with eating and drinking where required.

  • Mobility: Supporting safe movement, transfers and the use of mobility aids and personal equipment, following your training and care plans.

  • Everyday tasks: Helping with shopping, making and changing beds, laundry, light cleaning, tidying and emptying commodes.

  • Companionship: Offering conversation, reassurance and a listening ear, helping reduce loneliness.

  • Community connections: Supporting activities, outings and appointments, and helping people stay connected with friends and family.

  • Wellbeing and safety: Recognising hazards, responding appropriately to concerns or emergencies, and reporting changes in a client’s wellbeing through the appropriate channels.

  • Clear records and teamwork: Recording care accurately and working with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to provide consistent support.

You’ll encourage people to do what they can for themselves, offering the right support to help them maintain their independence.

No previous care experience is needed. We provide fully paid training and ongoing support.
