Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Intern provides administrative and clerical support to the Finance & Accounting team under the supervision of the Senior Accounts Payable. The primary focus of this role is to assist in processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in a timely and efficient manner, while gaining hands-on experience in end-to-end accounts payable operations. Responsibilities: Review, verify, and process invoices — ensuring proper documentation, approval, and 3-way P.O. matching; enter verified invoices accurately into the system. Reconcile vendor statements; investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries in a timely manner. Maintain accurate, organized files and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Assist in the month-end closing process, including performing relevant accounting entries. Provide supporting documentation and assist during internal and external audits. Support the end-to-end accounts payable process and perform other administrative tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Commerce, or a related field. Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting or ERP software. Familiarity with accounts payable and general ledger systems, procedures, and financial chart of accounts. Skilled in documentation, data entry, data analysis, and research. Professional Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to delivering quality work. Well-organized with effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a professional, reliable attitude. Interpersonal Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with internal employees and external vendors. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
