Responsibilities Further develop and maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor, and control the power system. Assist in developing product specifications, develop and analyze functional tests. Assist with application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets. Provide power engineering support for customer applications and Field Application Engineers. Assist in writing and reviewing innovative power system protection solutions to present at technical meetings and conferences. Required Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Typically 2+ years experience in electric power systems, protection practices, and philosophies Excellent technical training skills Working knowledge of apparatus and protective relay application at an electrical utility, industrial plant Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of SEL products Experience in power system modeling using EMTP Location: Boise, ID or Pullman, WA Competitive pay. Pay Range Data Associate Power Engineer: $82,000 - $122,900 Power Engineer: $89,400 - $134,100 We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level.
